All Iowa Aids Benefit this Sunday

Join us this Sunday, November 8th, for the 23rd annual All Iowa AIDS Benefit at the Embassy Suites-100 E Locust.

Two Live mini-auctions (first one at 5pm, second at 8 pm-during the show) featuring great entertainment packages, wonderful Holiday gift items and Celebrity items (autographed jacket from Elizabeth Taylor, Lisa Lampanelli signed items, and more).

Then at 6pm, get set for an exciting show! The 23rd Annual All Iowa AIDS Benefit variety show and auction will be co-emceed by world-class female impersonator Dena Cass. Sometimes called "The 8th Wonder of the World", Dena has won scores of national, regional and state titles including Miss Gay Iowa 2007, Miss International Plus 2004 (State and Regional), Miss Southern States National 2002, Miss Gay USofA at Large 1998, Miss Continental Plus 1997, and many more.

Tickets are just $20 and are available at the door.

On Oct. 23 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Teachout Building (E. 5th and Locust Street) in Des Moines, professional chefs, local celebrities and businesses will come together to show off their skills in the name of equality.

AIAB events this weekend!!

When it comes to the All Iowa AIDS Benefit, there are a lot of ways to have fun. Two are happening this weekend.

Friday, 10/16 -- “Something 4 Everyone” beer bust and huge raffle at The Garden. Beer bust starts at 9:30 ($7) and The Garden Showcast performs at 11pm.

Sunday, 10/18 – “Bartender’s Revue”. Travels from bar to bar. Showtime 5 pm at Buddy’s Corral, 7 pm at The Blazing Saddle, and 9 pm at The Garden Nightclub! THIS AIN’T YOUR ORDINARY DRAG SHOW!

Lavender Victory Fund Fabulous Fall Fling

Join us this Saturday, October 17th at Adventureland's Palace Theater for The Lavender Victory Fund Fabulous Fall Fling!

The event is from 6:30 - 12:30 with free Keg beer & Hors d'oeuvres (while supply lasts). There are 50/50 Cash Split Drawings, a Silent Auction as well.

$20 Suggested Donation at the door. All proceeds go to Lavender Victory Fund to support Lesbians in financial need due to life affecting illness or injury.
